100 Eighth Graders Refuse To Pose For Photo Op With Speaker Paul Ryan Over His Policies
We’d like to take a moment this morning to recognize the 100 students from South Orange Middle School who had a chance for a photo op with House Speaker Paul Ryan and said “NO THANKS” we’d rather stand in a parking lot instead…
According to ABC 7 reports the 8th graders were on a class trip to DC on Thursday when about half of the class opted watch from the parking lot, rather than take part in a photo op with Ryan:
“It’s being associated with a person who puts his party before his country,” Matthew Malespina said.
“The point was, ‘I don’t want to be associated with him, and his policies and what he stands for,'” said Elissa Malespina, Matthew’s mother.
Some parents disagreed with Malespina, saying the students should at least respect Ryan’s office if not the man himself. Ultimately it was an even split, with about 100 students standing in for the photo.
“I thought it would be very cool just seeing the man who is the third most powerful man in our country. It would be cool, even if you disagree with him,” Miles Handelman said.
Being the dumb fawk oblivious as he is, Ryan didn’t even notice half of the 8th graders watching from the parking lot…
Gotta love it. WOKE azz kids!
